Liobians and the Craft

David Anderton" (da  ?   rapid.co.uk) is the Registrar of the Liobian Masonic Association which at the present has 91 members in the Association who are both Liobians and Freemasons.

The formation of the Liobian Masonic Association began in 1971 when a special dinner was held at the old Racquet Club, Liverpool, on 5th March 1971, hosted by Cyril McGibbon, a former pupil and Governor of the Liverpool Institute. A total of 21 freemasons, who were all Liobians, attended. It was agreed that another dinner should be held and efforts made to contact further former pupils of the School. In the event, a second dinner was held on 3rd March 1972, attended by 43 Liobians and it was at this function that it was decided to form the Liobian Masonic Association.

The simple objects of the Association are to afford facilities for meeting one another, for the entertainment of our ladies and ourselves. This is usually achieved by means of an annual dinner and a ladies function.

Liobians and Freemasons requiring further information should contact: ba21  ?   rapuid.co.uk
